Venice residents protest building color of new business

Click on this link to read a Sarasota Herald Tribune article (6-11-10) about how Venice residents are upset about the bright green color of a new restaurant.  The new business is bringing much-needed jobs to Venice, but controversy has arisen regarding whether it meets Venice's northern Italian architectural design standards (something for which the city is widely known).  Do you believe the protests are reasonable or are they unfair to the good intentions of the developer?
