Ethical Kidnapping?

Ten American missionaries have been charged with child kidnap for allegedly trying to smuggle 33 youngsters out of earthquake-hit Haiti. All ten of them deny that they did anything wrong. All of the children were orphaned by the earthquake. Here is the story.

  1. For this account, I think ethically they were trying to do the right thing, but they did not do it legally. They should have gone through the government in order to rescue those kids. Smuggling them across the border is a lit bit much. Also if they new it was perfectly okay then why were they being so sneaky about helping them. I understand that the process of saving these children can take a great deal of time, but while they waited to save them they could have just donated their time to help ing them. Finally, it was a very sincere act, but doing it without legal or government representation could actually bring more harm to the children.
