Tim Tebow anti-abortion Superbowl ad causes controversy

Click on this link to read a story about a controversial ad, planned for the Superbowl, that features UF quarterback Tim Tebow and his mom talking about abortion.  CBS has been defending its acceptance of the ad from a conservative Christian organization.  Tebow's mom was apparently contemplating having an abortion but instead brought the future Heisman Trophy winner into the world.  Do you think such ads should run during the Superbowl?  Is it intolerant to run them?  To resist them?

  1. Its hard to say whether or not an ad like this should be broadcasted like this. In a sense its just like an add the is against cigarette smoking showing the consequences of smoking, or the one where parents should talk more to their kids to prevent drug abuse. All are a point of view on one specific side of the line. So this ad would be doing the same thing. The only reason why this one becomes more controversial is because the population is divided on their opinion of abortion, where as smoking and drug abuse are portrayed as being bad by a majority of the population.

Personally, I think the ad is perfectly okay to run during the Superbowl. The choice to show it during the Superbowl was good marketing on their part. What people choose to do with the information is their own choice.
